I am very proud to be managing director and co-owner of Wotton Auction Rooms. Award winning auctioneers and valuers in the fine art and antique sector with heritage in the Cotswolds stretching back to the 1850’s.

Wotton Auction Rooms delivers exciting monthly multi-departmental auctions covering every facet of the wider fine art and antique market, from paintings to jewellery and wristwatches, from classic cars to country furniture and decorative arts.

Alongside the famed monthly sales which topically boast around 2000 lots, Wotton Auction Rooms also host several specialist sales each year to include our celebrated Cotswolds garden sale every spring, offsite country house and estate sales and a quarterly fine sale every 3 months highlighting the most exciting lots we handle.

Alongside the fun and theatre of auction day, Wotton also provide free no-obligation market appraisal valuations and formal fully compliant valuations for all purposes to include probate, insurance and division and are always on hand to assist clients in all aspects of the wider antiques, art and chattels marketplace.

Alongside my position with Wotton Auction Rooms I am also proudly a Co-owner of Old Brewery Auctions, a member of the Select Society of Auctioneers and a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Art Scholars. 

Outside of Work

Outside of work, you will likely find me either viewing another auction, ambling around an antiques centre or similar - a true glutton for punishment!

If I’m not doing that I’m possibly at the rugby or if all else fails, i’ll (hopefully) be nestled in a Cotswolds pub somewhere with a good glass of something!

  • I recently had a wonderful experience with the Wotton Auction Rooms. I put a few bits in for sale and Joseph Trinder was incredible with his advice, valuations, listings and the sale itself. The staff were incredibly helpful and it was a great experience selling. On the flip side the buying experience was also fantastic, the auction house itself is set in an old church giving such a fantastic atmosphere! We couldn't help a couple of cheeky bids on some small bits! Highly recommend a visit on sale day and I wouldn't go anywhere else
