Your Hosts

Hi, we’re Nicki Burge from Breakout HR & Stuart Elwin from Big Dog Web Design and Let’s Play Music - both proud owners of Cirencester-based businesses.

About Us

After trying out a bunch of business networking groups in Cirencester and the surrounding areas, we felt the right group didn’t exist for us. We wanted a group that wasn’t just about filling a room, but about real relationships, meaningful referrals, and a shared commitment to helping each other grow.

That’s why we started Curious Connections — a one-seat networking group that brings together people who are genuinely curious, supportive, and ready to invest in each other’s success.

Our Community

Being a part of the local Cirencester community means a lot to us. Since November 2022 we have run a monthly open mic night at The Bear Inn. We wanted to contribute to the local musical community by creating a night that champions local talent; providing a safe and encouraging space to perform, many for the first time. You are also likely to find us performing locally as part of our acoustic duo, Stay Tuned.

Musicians performing on stage at The Cirencester Phoenix Festival, an outdoor festival with a large crowd, food stalls, and a historic tower in the background.

Stuart was on the committee for Cirencester’s Phoenix Festival for 6 years where he ran the Let’s Play Music Stage, giving hundreds of first time performers and budding amateurs of all ages their first opportunity to shine on stage.

We want to emulate this in networking by offering the same level of support to local business owners.
